Privacy requests

Ask for a copy of your data, a correction, a deletion, or tell us something has gone wrong. One form, read by a person, answered within a month.

Who can use this

Anyone whose personal data Backlog.cloud holds. That is account holders, but also people who never signed up: you were on a call the bot joined, your name is in a transcript somebody pasted, or you were invited to a workspace and never accepted. You do not need an account and you do not need legal wording.

What happens next

  • You get an acknowledgement by email straight away, with a reference to quote.
  • We may write back to confirm you are who you say you are, or to ask what exactly you want covered. We will not ask for identity documents unless the request is unusual.
  • If your request is about the content of meetings in a workspace you do not own, that workspace is the controller of the data. We tell you who they are and forward your request to them within two working days.
  • We reply in full within one month of receiving the request. For a complex or unusually large request the law lets us take up to two months longer, and we tell you inside the first month if that applies.

If you are not satisfied

You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, or to your local data protection authority if you are in the EU, at any point. You do not have to go through us first, though we would rather hear it from you and put it right.

Prefer email? Write to privacy@backlog.cloud. The same clock applies. How we handle every request is set out in the privacy policy.

Where the acknowledgement and our reply go. If you have a Backlog.cloud account, use the address on it.

The team whose meeting you were in, if you know it. The bot's chat message names it.

Say what you want done and anything that helps us find the data: the meeting date, the workspace, the name you appear under. No legal wording needed.

Sent over an encrypted connection. We never use what you write here for anything but your request.
