Backlogs are not made of stories alone. A real meeting produces risks, decisions, commitments and process knowledge alongside the tickets, and losing those is how the same argument gets re-had in three weeks. Automatic creation, human approval

"Automatic backlog creation" earns suspicion, and it should. A backlog that fills itself with unverifiable items is worse than an empty one, because every wrong item taxes the trust of whoever reads it next. Two design choices answer that.

Evidence grounding: every artefact is anchored to the verbatim quote it came from, speaker included. Review-then-push: everything lands in a queue where a human edits, discards or approves before anything touches the backlog. The automation does the typing. The team keeps the judgement, and can check any item against its source in seconds.

How is this different from an AI meeting notes tool?
A notes tool summarises what was said. Backlog.cloud produces the work the meeting created: stories with acceptance criteria, bugs with reproduction context, decisions with reasoning, requirements with IDs. What happens to artefacts nobody approves?
They stay in the review queue as drafts and never reach your backlog. Nothing is pushed to any connected platform without explicit approval. If the extraction misread the room, you discard the draft and it is gone. The review step exists precisely so a wrong guess costs you a click, not a polluted backlog.
Does it work without the meeting bot?
